The Rose & Corlett Trilogy explores the lives of two influential World War II generals from Colorado. The first volume honors Major General Maurice Rose, the highest-ranking Jewish officer in WWII and the most decorated battle tank commander. The second volume highlights his and General Corlett’s roles in Operation Cobra, which broke through German lines. The final book chronicles Gen. Charles “Cowboy Pete” Corlett’s journey from a cowboy to a WWII leader. These volumes offer detailed, fresh insights into their leadership, using personal letters, scrapbooks, and oral histories, preserving important stories of courage and sacrifice.

History Colorado is proud to support the writing and publication of these special volumes through the Anschutz Military History Fund, which is dedicated to preserving our nation's military history.
